Bitpanda Expands Sports Sponsorship with FC Basel Deal

Bitpanda, the Vienna-based cryptocurrency exchange, is deepening its ties to European football by securing a shirt sponsorship with Swiss Super League club FC Basel. The multi-year agreement will place Bitpanda’s logo prominently on the front of Basel’s jerseys starting with the 2025-26 season.

The partnership grants Bitpanda extensive branding rights at Basel’s St. Jakob-Park stadium, exposing the crypto platform to 40,000 weekly spectators. This marks Bitpanda’s second major football sponsorship after becoming the official sleeve partner of Germany’s Bundesliga in 2021.

Sports sponsorships continue to serve as a key user acquisition channel for crypto firms despite market volatility. The Basel deal positions Bitpanda for visibility across German-speaking markets where football remains the dominant sport.
